Our Services

Architecture, Interior Design,
and 3D Visualization.
All in one studio in Nairobi.

Most design projects involve at least three separate firms. That means three briefs, three contracts, and three teams who may never fully agree on your vision. At Avere, all three services are inside one studio and one team is responsible for all of it.

Architecture Design

Architecture Design

Architecture design for homes, apartments, and commercial spaces.

We design buildings that are functional, beautiful, and right for their site. From the first concept to detailed drawings ready for construction, we help you shape a space that supports your life, your business goals, or your investment plans. We do not lose the quality of the design in the space between the idea and the building site.

Our process starts with the site itself. We look at the terrain, the orientation, the natural light, the views, and the county rules before we draw a single line. This is why our buildings feel like they belong where they stand. They were designed around the specific place they occupy, not placed on top of it.

We then move from concept into schematic design, exploring layout options and structural form. After that comes detailed technical work: architectural drawings, structural drawings, services coordination, and the full submission package for county approval. We manage that approval process on your behalf. We track it, respond to queries, and follow up until the permit is issued. You do not chase paperwork. We do.

For clients who want us on site during construction, we offer contract administration and supervision. We check contractor work against our drawings, manage any changes, and make sure what gets built matches what was designed. Most design projects fail in the gap between drawings and construction. Our presence on site closes that gap.

Interior Design

Interior Design

Interior design for homes, offices, and hospitality spaces. Tailored to how you live.

A space should feel right the moment you walk in and keep feeling right for years. Not because it follows a trend, but because it was designed around the way you actually use it. That is the standard we apply to every interior design project: understand how the space will be used first, then decide how it should look. The result is interiors that are beautiful and genuinely easy to live in.

We start every interior project with a detailed brief. How do you move through the space? What do you need close at hand in each room? How much natural light do you want, and from which direction? We then build a concept around those answers: layout, material palette, furniture arrangement, and lighting. You review and respond. We refine. At every stage you see what we are proposing before anything is committed to.

One of the most overlooked parts of interior design is procurement. Getting the right materials, furniture, and fittings sourced, ordered, delivered, and installed on time takes real effort. We handle all of it. You do not spend months chasing individual suppliers or managing delivery schedules. We specify, source, coordinate, and oversee installation. We hand you a completed interior, not a list of things still to be done.

The biggest advantage of using Avere for interior design is that we already understand the building. If we designed the architecture, we know the spatial logic, the structural limits, the ceiling heights, and how light moves through every room at different times of day. The interior design grows naturally from the architecture instead of being added on top of it. The result is a space that feels coherent all the way through, from the structure to the finish of the door handles.

Who This Is For

This service is designed for

Homeowners furnishing a new build or redesigning their home. Business owners creating an office that reflects their brand and supports how their team works. Hospitality operators designing guest rooms, lobbies, restaurants, or bars that people want to return to. Developers finishing a project to a standard that justifies the asking price. Anyone who has experienced the gap between a beautiful concept and what actually gets delivered and does not want to go through that again.

3D Visualization

3D Visualization

See your project clearly before construction begins.

Most people cannot look at a floor plan and picture a finished space. They have a sense of what they want but turning a two-dimensional drawing into a real three-dimensional experience is not easy. That is what 3D visualization solves. We make the finished space visible before it is built, in enough detail that you can make decisions with confidence rather than crossing your fingers and hoping.

We produce photorealistic exterior renders, interior renders, aerial views, and animated walkthrough videos. These are not rough concept sketches. They are production-quality images and videos that clients use to approve design decisions, present to banks and investors, submit to county authorities, and market off-plan or completed properties. The quality is high enough to do all of those jobs well.

The cost of changing something during construction is many times greater than the cost of changing it in a 3D render. A different tile, a shifted wall, a window in a new position: these are free decisions in a visualization. On a building site, they cost time, money, and goodwill. Our 3D service is not a luxury extra. It is the most cost-effective design decision you can make before construction starts.

For international and diaspora clients managing a build from abroad, 3D visualization is not optional. It is the tool that makes remote project management actually work. You can approve a kitchen layout, review a facade, or check a bedroom configuration from anywhere in the world. You see exactly what we have designed. You approve it. We build it. That is the process that makes remote builds successful.

Who This Is For

This service is designed for

Clients who want to see and approve the design before committing to construction. Developers and investors preparing presentations for banks, funding partners, or off-plan buyers. Anyone submitting to county planning authorities who need visual documentation. International and diaspora clients managing a build remotely who need clear visuals to approve decisions from abroad. Property owners marketing a completed or under-construction development to potential buyers or tenants.

Our Process

Clear steps. No surprises.
Here is exactly what working with us looks like.

01

Enquiry and Briefing

You reach out by contact form, WhatsApp, or phone. We respond within 24 hours to set up a call or meeting. In that first conversation we listen. We ask about your project, your timeline, your budget, and your expectations. The quality of a brief determines the quality of everything that comes after it. At the end of this stage, both sides know whether there is a good fit and what working together would actually look like day to day.

What You Receive
Initial assessment
Scope overview
Indicative fee range
02

Consultation and Proposal

Once we agree to move forward, we do a formal site visit. We look at the terrain, orientation, access, existing structures, and any factors that will affect the design. We then write a clear proposal: a document that sets out the scope, deliverables at each stage, timeline, and fee. Nothing starts until this is agreed in writing. No verbal agreements. No assumptions. No fees that appear later that were never discussed upfront.

What You Receive
Written proposal
Scope of work
Project timeline
Fee agreement
03

Concept Design

This is where the project takes shape. We develop layout options, structural form concepts, and a material direction. We present them alongside 3D visuals that show the space in real, readable detail. We show options rather than a single answer, because the best design comes from a client who understands the choices being made. You review, respond, and refine. Your feedback is not a constraint on creativity. It is the information needed to design the right thing for your specific situation.

What You Receive
Layout options
Floor plans
3D renders
Design review session
04

Development and Documentation

With the concept confirmed, we move into full technical documentation. Architectural drawings, structural drawings, services coordination, interior specifications, and material schedules. Everything a contractor needs to build accurately and everything a county authority needs to grant approval. We manage the county submission and track it until the permit is issued. You do not chase paperwork. We do that on your behalf from submission to approval.

What You Receive
Full drawing set
County approval
Permit

Construction and Handover

For clients who want us involved during construction, we attend site on a regular basis. We review contractor work, identify anything that does not match the drawings, and manage variation orders. We write progress reports so you always know what has happened since the last visit. At completion, we do a final inspection against our drawings and sign off only when the build meets the standard. That is your handover: a finished space that matches the design, not a rough version of it.

What You Receive
Site visit reports
Variation management
Final inspection

Common Questions

Questions people ask
before they book.

How much does an architect cost in Nairobi?

Architectural fees in Kenya are typically calculated as a percentage of the total construction cost, or as a lump sum based on the project scope. At Avere, we provide a tailored proposal after an initial brief so you get a clear number specific to your project, not a broad industry average. Book a free consultation and we will give you an honest estimate within 24 hours.

How long does it take to get architectural drawings done in Kenya?

For a standard residential project, concept drawings take two to four weeks from a confirmed brief. Full technical drawings and documentation take four to eight weeks depending on complexity. County approval timelines vary by location and project type. We give you current processing expectations during consultation and build that buffer into the project plan from the start.

Can you work with my existing contractor?

Yes. We can produce a full drawing set for your own contractor to build from. We can also take on a contract administration role, visiting site regularly, reviewing the contractor's work against our designs, and flagging anything that deviates. We will structure our involvement to fit your situation and protect the quality of the project either way.

Can you work with clients based outside Kenya?

Yes, and we do this regularly. A significant number of our clients are based in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, and the Gulf. Our process is built for remote collaboration. Consultations happen over video call, design reviews are done through shared visual presentations, and our 3D visualization means you can approve every decision with full confidence from anywhere in the world.

What is the difference between a 3D render and a walkthrough?

A render is a single high-resolution still image, an exterior shot, a room view, or an aerial perspective. It is ideal for approvals, presentations, and marketing. A walkthrough is an animated video that moves through the space, giving a full sense of scale, flow, and atmosphere. Both are photorealistic. We advise on which is more appropriate for your purpose during the brief stage and can combine both within the same project.

Do you handle both architecture and interior design on the same project?

Yes, and this is one of the main advantages of working with Avere. When architecture and interior design are handled by the same team, the building and its interiors are developed as a single coherent whole from the beginning. The spatial decisions at the architectural stage directly shape the interior, which saves time, reduces conflicts between trades, and produces a better result in the finished space.

How many revisions do we get?

We include structured revision rounds at two key stages, after the initial concept and before final technical delivery. This means feedback happens at the right moment in the process rather than after decisions have become expensive to change. Additional revision rounds beyond the agreed scope are available and are scoped clearly before any extra work begins, so there are no surprises on either side.

Not sure which service I need. Where do I start?

Start with a free consultation. Tell us about your project, what you are hoping to achieve, and where you are in the process. We will recommend the combination of services that makes the most sense for your goals and budget, and explain clearly what each one involves. Most projects benefit from more than one service, and the best results come when they are planned together from the beginning.
